Last night, we had a yummy homemade salad for supper. DH actually put it together. And it was pretty! And delicious. Then, today, I saw 3 lbs of loss on the scale! What?!!! Okay, I'll take it. I had been feeling bloated and I'm sure it was a lot of water weight loss....but losing water weight is good, too.
I made it through today tracked and in range. Yay! Being wary of danger zones is really working!
After supper tonight, I needed to do the dishes but, being aware of the danger zone (after supper eating), I decided to do a quick cleanup on the kitchen (rinsing the dishes) and get out the kitchen for the night. It's more important to me to have a successful, on-track day, than to push myself with the dishes. The dishes will be there later when I am not fighting a danger zone.
The challenge on a new spark team I joined had the challenge of spending 15 minutes of "me" time today. I was surprised at how hard it was to come up with what I would do for my me time. I decided to have my time when I got home from work and before DH got home. As I was walking around after I got home, I spied my magazines. That was the ticket. I sat down and spent 15 minutes (which turned into 30 minutes) of me time looking at my magazine. It was so enjoyable and relaxing!
For supper tonight, I fixed a Voila meal and salad. Birds Eye has these in the freezer section. Each bag has 2.5 to 3 servings in it. I like making them for DH and I and I add in cherry tomatoes, halved, and slice up chunks of zucchini and add to the mixture. It really beefs up the meal and doesn't add many calories. They only take 10-12 minutes in one skillet. They are really easy and fast...taste great...have a lot of variety...and you can enhance the nutrition with extra veggies. Tonight I fixed the 3-Cheese and Chicken one. It was so good!
I continued to get compliments on the Bears on the Beach cupcakes today! And the luau/picnic committee got a lot of positive feedback from everyone for yesterday's festivities.
It was a busy day at work today...being the 1st...it's always a very busy day in my department. But we handled it well...and tomorrow's TGIF!
Hope you all had a great day! Keep up the good work! Thanks for the encouragement! Spark on!
