Time at the range today

Thursday, August 01, 2013

Went out to the gun club to try out the new rifle we picked up last night. Very nice trigger. Shoots good. Smart purchase and investment. Weather here is perfect- 70's and sunny with a light breeze. This could go one for a while as far as I am concerned.

Did some more work in the garage, got the shelves we bought up. I started hanging stuff up on the pegboard. Starting to come together. Will be a work in progress for some time as we figure out how we want stuff and where.

Just watched a movie while we ate supper. Heading up to listen on the radio now. jim is trying to get a hold of Oshkosh, WI. The big airshow is on there and there is a radio contact event going on he would like to contact. We were at the big airshow about 7-8 years ago. It is huge and lots to see and do. It was also horribly hot that year there. But we still had fun.

Haven't been to the range in several years. My husband and I used to go occasionally. Don't have anyone to take care of the grandchild so we can go. Usually we would shoot off pistols as all of his rifles are right handed and I am left handed. I would like to get a left handed AR15 but it's not in the budget right now. What type did you buy?

We're having similar weather. We walked almost 4 miles this morning. We went to the state park just down the road. Really enjoyed it.

Have you thought of drawing the outlines of the items you hang on the pegboard. Then you know where they are to be returned. I've sent this hint many times, but have never done it.

Is that the big fly-in at Oshkosh? I had friends who used to go to that every year . . . They'd fly in from Texas in his fully restored Mooney.

Sounds like you had a fun time at the range. I wish we had one closer to us. As dry as it is and fire conditions are right now, we are not allowed to discharge firearms . . .no welding, chainsaws, not even mow our lawns, or anything that might cause a spark. Understandable.

I just got a little Ruger 38S snub nose for cc and haven't been able to put a round through it yet! Haven't even been able to adjust the sights. . . . . aaaarrrgggg!

    Anyway, glad you had fun!!!!!
