Okay, I Give

Thursday, August 01, 2013

Alright all the forces of the universe are conspiring to get me here today. I've been wanting to come back on SparkPeople but I've been so off track I thought "why bother?". I've got nothing helpful to contribute and seeing how "on track" I use to be will just depress me so....

Anyway, my hubby is sick of low carb and is now eating too much because he's not used to having to watch his portion sizes so I thought Weight Watchers could help him with perspective. So I sauntered in to the meeting with him (Lifetime member that I am emoticon ), stepped on the scale and weighed in at 7 POUNDS above my goal. I HAD TO PAY THE MEETING FEE emoticon !!! I haven't had to pay for a meeting in years. That was the first spark.

Second spark. I come home from Weight Watchers and Les Mills Pump is waiting on my doorstep. I do the first workout and all I can think about is sharing my thoughts about it on Spark People but....

The third spark (and what Sparked me into action) was when I got on Facebook yesterday and saw the notice for the Back on Track Challenge from SparkPeople.

What better chance to slink back to SP than with a whole bunch of other "off track" folks, so here I am.

My first challenge is to get back at goal for Weight Watchers so I don't have to pay again!!!

My own self imposed challenge (which will help me with the first) is to sign on to SparkPeople every day of the Back on Track Challenge. There is no question that giving and getting support is invaluable for a weight loss journey and SP is the BEST resource I know. I am terrible about utilizing it so I'm going to use this challenge as a chance to discipline myself toward that end.

So, see you tomorrow!

Welcome back!!! How was the Les Mills Body Pump - is it along the lines of Insanity and P90x? Wishing you well on getting back to your goal weight and for your hubby too.

No need to slink back. You are always welcomed here and it's great to have you back. The journey of life is hard and the road is often 'under construction" (filled with pots of varying sizes). Whether we find ourselves in a hole or going along smoothing, we have each others' backs. The only walk of shame is not coming back when we all know there are holes on the road; sometimes we are the one's that need some help climbing out, other times we helping others climb out. Either way, SP is a win-win. Again, welcome back! emoticon

*Btw, you have some of my favorite instructors as your background! emoticon
