Week 9 Progress!

Hey all! So I decided I really should write a blog since it has been awwhiiilleee :)
Calories are going good I have been able to stay under for the week so far so I am proud of myself :D I have been keeping up with the exercise..slacking in strength training still..BUT I am going to kick myself in the behind and make sure I getter done today! I found out that it was much easier for me to keep up with my jogging if I do it after work every single day that I work. It has worked out really well and I tend to do 4 runs now instead of 3 every week. I am on week 9 now in case you haven't noticed haha, which is the final week of the couch to 5k program. I have been following the NHS version which can be downloaded as a podcast from itunes. I think it really helped me out, so much so that now when someone says 30 minute jog straight I don't freak out
I am able to jog 2 miles in that 30 minute time frame so now when my last two runs are over with NHS I will continue to do that 30 minutes but try to increase my speed so I can do the whole 5k distance in that time frame :D Then I will truly feel accomplished
I am trying to learn how to eat more in season which is very difficult for me so it's going to be a new adventure this month learning to cook with the seasons. I found some good articles here on spark people that help to explain it and give you some good recipe ideas. I plan to make moose stew with some moose that my hubby's brother got a few months ago. It's been sitting in the freezer for a awhile so I decided it's time to eat it. That's not really an in season food but whatever lol. We have been having a bit of a hard time with our budget and groceries so we are eating what we have and only buying groceries when it's necessary. (( which means lots of meals with carbs! Ahhhh lol but I will make it work )) Okay all for now I suppose..Hope all is well with everyone and love reading about all your guys progress Keep It Up Everyone!!!
