You're not fat so why would you need to lose weight?

It annoys me how people assume that because you aren't grossly overweight that you can't want or need to lose weight, whether it be for purely aesthetic or health reasons. I mean just because someone looks healthy to you doesn't mean they actually are. I know many people who aren't obese or even that overweight who have hypertension and diabetes just like I know people who are overweight who don't have any major health problems. I Just don't understand why other people think they have the right to judge whether or not my weight is healthy.
I've had a lot people lately questioning my desire to lose a few pounds. It's fine when my friends and family question it because they know me the best and all they want is for me to happy and healthy, both which I am at my current weight. But at the same time none of them are against my journey to get healthier. What really is bothering me lately is people I barely even know telling me that it's unhealthy for me to lose weight.
And the funny thing is I'm not even thin. I'm on the high end of my weight range and I am about 10 pounds heavier my nature weight, so I just don't get.
