August Goals

Since I started here at Sparkpeople back in Febuary, I have lost and gained the same 5 pounds over and over and over again. I am so darn done with this stinkin’ boomerang! My birthday is in September, and I do not want to start the year off in the present state I am in now!

August is here! A brand new month! Many people say they are going to “Rock It”. To me rock it makes it sound like a party. I am not going to rock it, but PULVERIZE IT! For me, there is no party to this as I am going to put my fat in its place! I AM SO DONE! I do good, than slack off, do good, then slack off. No more of that. The boxing gloves are on. I am going to bust my butt eating clean and putting those kettlebells in their place! They are not going to laugh at me anymore that I just leave them sit there and can’t lift them. I will not be perfect, but I expect 90% and above excellence to my workout plan and diet plan. Consistency to the plan is the key to excellence!

August Goals:
420 kettlebell fitness minutes of KB Strong!, swings and hopefully snatches!
4 days a week kettlebell training sessions
Eating clean 90% of the time each week.
One day a week grains
8-12 cups water a day

Snatch:
The snatch program is doing quite a number on my shoulder impingement even with modifying it. I will have to go super slow at the snatch training so I can keep making progress and not to injure myself.

Keep that fire in your belly, Trina! Those mental images are powerful and can keep you going. Listen to your body to stay away from injury. You know when you are strong and can push a little further, and when you need to work out but still lay back a little bit. I'm convinced that more days per week, even if some workouts are shorter/easier, will eventually pay off. Your plan is emoticon emoticon emoticon

You have motivated me to get out my free weights that have been mocking me for months of disuse. The only ST I have been getting is at my physical job at a grocery store. I will ST tomorrow on my lat day of vacation before I start work on Sunday.

    You can do this Trina! So much of it is retraining our minds. One day at a time-one decision at a time- I believe you WILL pulverize August and say goodbye to the unwanted lbs forever! You are worth it! And please do be careful with those bells- an injury would be awful! Love the new background image. emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Good luck you sound super determined. I also have been gaining and losing the same 10 lbs. for a year now. It is time to buckle down and get serious. No more of this "one bite won't hurt" or "I'm to tired to work out super hard today." We can do this ! emoticon
