That is not juice

Thursday, August 01, 2013

I was running errands. I was craving grape juice. i did not eat much for breakfast so i though it would be an easy way to get a fruit serving. Stopped at the store and went to where it said Juice above the cooler. Gaterade is not juice. Of course all the other “juice” drinks were less then 15% juice. Should have taken strawberries out of the freezer and had a green smoothie before i left.

Ugh, even stuff now, the "Naked" juices that are supposed to be all natural and the Odwalla are owned by Pepsi and Coke and are ANYTHING but natural. Ugh. Avoid!

I also like juice. But not juiced-colored sugar water!
I've been getting quart bottles of my favorites.
"Organic, no sugar, 100% juice"
I pour a half cup into a glass and add a little water, and it is a delicious treat!

I even googled Hawaiian punch, something I loved as a child. (It is now made with 5% real fruit juice!!" It was difficult to find the pure juices that were originally ingredients, but I found most, and made myself a delicious punch.
No red coloring is a plus!

That is so true - so often, the stuff "called juice" is anything BUT juice.
