I guess the reason I really want to lose weight is so I can be more active with my kids - I want to enjoy the outdoors more with them. Also I want to be a good role model to my daughter - she is only 5 and because of an underlying neurological issue has low muscle tone - which means that she looks a little floppy and has a pronounced tummy. I have noticed her helping herself to food a lot more lately - so a week or so back we had a talk - and agreed that we would both like to try to be healthy....now her eating and mine is more under control - and we check in with each other about whether we are really hungry...if we are, we eat, if we're not we spend time reading a book or playing a game. It feels good to have a more regulated approach.
