That's the chant I hear in my head the last week or so. Because that seems to be what I'm doing a lot of...walking. I'm still trying for that elusive 20,000 step day
. I getting up and walking at least once an hour while at work. If I have to go to the ladies room...I'm walking to the other side of the building to do it rather then the one right outside my cube farm, then walking all the way around the second floor to get back to my cube
. Need to grab my lunch from our little lunch room just a few steps away (well..about 20 steps away)? No sweat...I walk all the around the second floor to get to it
. I'm finding that, other then the steps feeding my desire for that 20K, that getting up and walking once an hour gets the blood flowing again, gives a pause to just breath. Gets the thought process back on track.
A nice side benefit!
I watched You Do You Think You Are last night on TLC (if you missed it...you can watch on the TLC web site). It was a sad one. Next week is Chelsea Handler. I don't really like her as a comedian, but the previews looked good for next week. I need to get back to my Trees. I check last night I have a lot of little leafs to explore.
Then I watched Dancemoms....I know...I know...I shouldn't watch it. But it's so funny to see how fake it is!
Although I have seen swim parents that could give those Dance moms a run for their money in the loud, pushy dept!
Dinner last was tacos. I used the left over El Pollo Loco tortillas for mine (I had 2), then I toasted up the others and cut them in 1/4s to make "chips". They weren't too bad. Hubby had hard shells for his tacos. And again...I had the blasted quickie mug cake (not all that bad) and cream cheese frosting (all bad). But the cream cheese is gone now..so no more homemade frosting!
I fixed a pot roast for the crock pot for today last night, put it in the inner pot and then into fridge. Then this morning (before the butt crack of dawn!) put the inner pot in the outer cooking part. But you know what? I totally got sidetracked talking to hubby and forgot to not only turn it on...I didn't even PLUG the darn thing in! Now what do I do? I can't go ahead and even try to cook it..it's been setting out all day!
I'll find something to toss together for dinner!
I only got 55 mins on the elliptical at lunch today. I was swamped in my cube with work (project due tomorrow), but that's OK. I still did OK.
So...Happy Hump Day and have a great rest of it!
