What Does It Take?

It's been a long month. Tina just got out of the hospital after spending about 2 and a half weeks in there. She still has to go in every other day while the wounds heal. So we are looking forward to seeing the day she is back to normal.

On the good side she lost a lot of weight. But as for me....I don't know where I am because the scale doesn't go that high.

I am feeling it too. My whole body hurts. So I know I need help. I have come to see that SP isn't enough since I can simply turn off the computer. I know something needs to happen but what should I do? What does it really take to lose over 200lbs?!

    You can do it Jason, just one step at a time.It won't vanish overnight, but if you make a decision and stick to it one day at a time. By starting off restricting your calorie intake by cutting out sugar and fatty foods is a good start. Add lots of fruit and vegetables to your menu. Drink water, lots of water. It might not be easy Jason, but with perseverance you can achieve it.
You are right you can turn the computer off Jason. But spark people can help you reach your goals. By reading lots of the motivational pages, listening to advice from other sparkers, checking out success stories etc. Lots of people have achieved their health goals and you can too. Believe in yourself and tell yourself "I can do it". emoticon emoticon
Plus you can be more support to Tina if you are working on your health too. We are all on your side Jason, you have a nice motivational background.

    I have found hope in the 5:2 diet which means that I only have to count calories two days a week. On week three and doing well.
