So this is the 31st and I have been sitting here with my July goal list pasted to the edge of my computer all month. How have I done? Well, the really good news is that I lost the 5 lbs. I wanted to lose this month. The last one dropped this morning -- that is what I call close, but I made it! The other items on my list included:
Sell items on Ebay -- I have sold almost $250 worth of stuff that I didn't need!
Lose 5 lbs. -- I went from 153 lbs. to 148 lbs. - Yea me!
Clean out 2 refrigerators - yuck job - did that the first day to get it over!
Take photos of food for cookbook - did 8 photos and inserted them! (more to go)
Paint card table - Did not get this done (mea culpa)
Find part time job - I do have an application in the works and initial contacts made (so technically not done)
So there's the report. Actually I'm pretty happy with it. I guess my motivation to paint the card table isn't too high. Will rethink that one. The part time job -- to be honest I was reluctant to make it a high priority until I got a lead on a job (full time) that I would really like to have. Then I got resume together, put the online application in, took the supervisory test (and passed), and now I am waiting for the interview. I am really excited about it so will be praying about that one!
My main focus has been to get healthy and I am getting there. I have lost 12 lbs. so far and I am pleased with that.
Here is my August goal list:
Lose 5 lbs. by August 31st
Find, interview and secure job.
Sell $200 in items on Ebay
That's it for now. I may think of other things later, but if I become employed I don't want to have too much on my plate (pun intended!)
I do like this goal setting stuff even though it is short term, it is certainly motivating and working for me! Hope you are setting your goals and getting motivated as well!
