Reached a 5 lb increment at Weight Watchers weigh in this week. Yay! Tracking is paying off.
Also started a fitness art journal. Will post photos soon.
This week is going to be "Martial Arts Week". In fact, all of August has something going on each weekend at the dojo (in addition to my regular midweek classes).
This week it's my two regular martial arts classes during the week, then Friday through Sunday I'll be in a Certified Instructor Training at the dojo. Focused on punches. :) It's for all levels of students. The classes are mixed level so as you advance, you are sometimes asked to teach the newer people as the class is divided up. Really I'm just doing it to support the dojo. It's an 8 hour training spread out over 3 days.
The second weekend of August, the son of our Grand Master is coming to town and we've been highly encouraged to attend that event.
The third weekend, it's a Martial Arts USA clinic that is Friday night and all day Saturday with various teachers from elsewhere, and various classes. Like stick fighting and combat judo and aikido.
The fourth weekend, hubby has a belt test!
So we will be busy at the dojo all of August. It's like Sharknado except it's Fightnado. :)
