I lost 8 lbs in a week!! I lost 8 lbs in a week?? Really? I jumped on the scale 3 extra times this morning just to be sure it wasn't joking with me. I can't even hardly believe it. Then pointed at the scale and said "You'd better not be f*ck*ng lying to me. I will crush you." I joined the Summer 5% Challenge that started Saturday, but I have always weighed in on Wednesdays so I just kept it at that. So, my 5% goal for September 27th was to lose 11 pounds...only 3 lbs to go... looks like I am going to blow this challenge out of the water if I keep at this rate. I was expecting a loss, but I only expected a pound or three..not 8! This was a very stressful past week, and there were a few things I shouldn't have eaten. I did manage to stay within my calorie range all week and drink all my water and then some. I exercised every day following the heart smart workout plan and adding in some modified pushups and kitchen dancing to make sure I had at least 30 minutes in every day. One day though, my lunch was replaced with a small bag of barbecue chips from a prison vending machine. And I have been having problems with my asthma which my doctor put me on steroids for, so I really wasn't expecting to lose this much. I just don't feel like I deserve it, but, I'll take it!!
My conversation with my daughter this morning: "Did you know mommy lost 8lbs this week? 8lbs. 8 lbs!! That's like... a whole baby!"
