Lost a little . . . !

Wednesday, July 31, 2013

I was afraid I was going to have another gain after 5 days of driving and 3 days of sitting around watching volleyball. I did get in exercise and I didn't over eat.

This morning was my "official" weigh in day and I lost .6 lbs. I'm still below my goal weight and almost 3 lbs. below my "scream" weight, so I'm good.

As I mentioned before, I did get in my 30 mins. of exercise each day, so I'm sure that helped. I was also conscious to meet the other "health challenges" and ate at least 5 servings of freggies, lean protein, drank my water and had a healthy breakfast. Again, I'm glad I'm participating in the "healthy living challenge" (DH's work), or I'm not sure I would have taken the time to exercise, make my breakfast and pack healthy snacks.

Last night my sister came by with her grandson (my great nephew - GN) and we went to the park to meet her son-in-law and also walk. Sister, DD#2 & 3, GN and I walked for about 45 mins. It was really muggy and by the time we finished, we were really hot & sweaty. GN's Dad was running late, so we went to Dairy Queen and got ice cream!

I'm hoping to be able to run tonight. I don't think DD#2 will want to go because she had weight training and volleyball today (her tryouts are tomorrow!). DH is working late, so he probably won't be up to it either. DD#3 has been kind of clingy lately and telling me I haven't been spending enough time with her, so I might have to take her somewhere instead tonight! I'll get in my 30 mins. exercise somehow. Maybe she'll want to ride bikes. She's also a little jealous of GN because she was the "baby" for a long time!

Pictures below of GN playing basketball and at the park.
