This is the third time I've signed up for SP and this is the heaviest I've ever been in my life. What used to be easy is no longer easy, and gone are the days where my metabolism was happy to drop pounds once I started simply dieting. This is going to take a real life change in how I eat and how I exercise.

That being said, I made a goal to walk the dogs each day and I've kept it up for two whole days. I have to struggle against my mentality of "Just suck it up and go for an hour! Ten minutes is not going to do anything!" After yesterday's 15 minutes, I found out tonight when I went out that I have a case of shin splints. Dangit. I really do have to go about this with plodding purpose rather than sprinting spurts. I'm off to find some ice... The good news is that the dogs will rapidly figure out that we're walking as a routine and force me to go, no matter how grumbly I get!
