Showers Blessed me

Tuesday, July 30, 2013

Well, this stupid weather is annoying, you don't know whether to go walking or not. So, finally I decided I was going.... humidity 100% but just threatening at that time. So, Buddy and I got our 3 laps in, and were just on the service road to come home when the showers of blessing started. Great timing, cuz it cooled us off but didnt' deter us from doing another lap.

The enlightenment I had today was that even with 3 laps (which I don't do every day) if the pedometer is correct - only meets nearly 70% of the RDA. It';s about 5km I think. I guess I will have to clock a mile with my car and then walk it to find out how fast I am doing the mile, cuz right now I post it at 3.15mph, but that's just a guess.

Breakfast - multigrain cherrios, blueberries, milk
Lunch - cashews, homemade chicken veggie soup, yogurt & jello, whole grapefruit
Snack - 2 coconut cookies
Supper - chicken tenders, corn on the cob, ??

I love how you described your walk. What a nice way to cool off and get blessings at the same time.

bravo for the rain holding off until you were into the last lap! a nice cool down. Maybe your weather will be better now that the rain finally arrived.

I had several routes clocked off on my mom's car when I used to do a lot of walking. The basic one mile that I could do anytime I wanted as many times as i liked. Then had a 3 mile route and a 5 mile route clocked off. That way I alway knew how many miles I walked every day. I used the different routes when I was tired of one of the others or used all of them when I wanted a specific number of miles walked. It came in handy.

sounds like a good day, keep it up!
