Great day off: took DVD to Kathy, went to visit mom for an hour or so.. she is healthier than I am.. informed them of cell phone number to reach us on vacation Aug 16-23.
DD said she would post pics of our berries last night.

When I freeze them I NEVER, ever wash them ,, it makes them soggy when thawed. If not washed, they will come out like just-picked. I use my trusty vinegar water to rinse produce that I do not freeze though.

We should have our winter supply of huckleberries when we return from vacation too.. We are pumped to pick them, also prepared to fend off bears or moose that we may encounter in the forest.

Do you wash it when you thaw it to use?

I used to love huckleberries, or whatever it was we used to call huckleberries. Haven't had any for years and years. :(
