Report Card for 500 Days - Fifth Quarter-Term

I have not made healthy food choices this past month. I have turned to food for comfort and distraction--- instead of receiving God-given tools and provisions.

We were traveling in the north woods, and I know how to eat properly then, but I had too many treats. Exercise was excellent until July 11, when I started getting very sick. We have been home the second half of July, but sinusitis, bronchitis, and asthma laid me low. I am thankful to be feeling much better. I took a long walk today by God's grace.

I am glad to have the structure of my 500-Day schedule, for now a new section gives me a strong sense of a fresh start. In my original plan I had a different word for the theme of this new section 6, Fellowship, but I am choosing to use FOCUS instead. Oh, how I need focus!

I am watching Dr. Judith Beck on YouTube and telling myself what her book says about how to proceed. Onward!

    Hey there! I have slipped more than you have but let's not make that a contest!!

As long as we are alive we can chose to make things better for us and everyone else! We all know we will slip but we fix it and move one - just as you are doing!

The scale has crept up a few pounds - I was okay with maintaining with everything going on, but I am NOT OKAY with gaining. Really struggling.

Hoping you are on the mend and will be able to get back into some structure - I need it desparately.

I don't know your taste in music, but this song has been a real blessing to me the past week as I struggle with the "dregs" of life and seeking to be intentional in my journey to health.

    Sorry to hear you were sick!! Probably all those wonderful spores out there in the great north woods just incubated and created your misery.     WTG for getting back on track! You must give yourself credit for that.
Being ill does upset the proverbial apple cart and makes it difficult to think. Perhaps you can develop a "sick plan" or have someone help guide and care for you if you get ill. By care I mean assist you in maintaining healthy choices. I'm so glad that you are feeling better.

You are doing wonderful, look back to the beginning of your journey and see the progress.

    I can't remember who to give the credit - I think it was Billy Graham. Anyway, it goes something like this: Everyone gets off track. The important thing is how soon you discover it and get back on.
