This Much? Really??

Tuesday, July 30, 2013

Today's SparkCoach challenge is to find a way to represent your weight loss, whether it is in sticks of butter, pounds of laundry, or weights in the gym room. It made me realize that I have a great representation right now that won't last long, but I see them daily. Natalie weighs about 53 pounds and Gwen weighs about 32 pounds now, very close to my total loss.

It is kind of shocking to realize I carried that much weight on my body. I have to be very careful even picking up Gwen not to hurt my back. No wonder I had sore knees and many more aches and pains than I have these days.

I've got a great picture of the two of them sitting side by side in a swing from the back. I'll post it when I find it!

In the meantime, I lost this much:

Isn't that amazing??

Edit: I did finally find the picture I wanted. In my head this is the amount of weight I have lost:

Lovely pictures and a good visual of your weight loss. That is a wonderful accomplishment.

I donated 5 sacks of 20 pound bags of potatoes to our food drive..to commemorate my weight loss. I remember being shocked at the amount of weight I carried.

When you look it like that, it is no surprise we have the aches and pain. Try carrying those two at one time? Not a chance! You have done fantastic!

Wow! What a reality check! I picked up a 10 pound plate in my strength class the other day and thought gee whiz how did I haul around 4 of these on my bones for decades?
Amazing job maintaining this great loss, Marsha!

It IS amazing, Marsha! And what always puzzles me, looking at my own before and afters... where did it go? Body that took up space is now GONE! Where did it go?

Congrats and keep on sparkling, my friend!
