I Finished the 30 Day Shred

I did it! I finished the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred! Today was my last day of that workout, and I am so proud of myself for sticking to it all month long. Tomorrow is going to be a rest day, but I'm already looking ahead and planning for a healthy August.

I did make progress for the first two weeks of doing the Shred. I don't weigh myself, but I could tell I had lost some weight just by the way I felt, and by the fit of my clothes. One day I realized that I could take my jeans off without even unbuttoning them, and that was an awesome NSV! What a thrill...I was finally over the plateau! But then about ten days ago, I started sabotaging myself by binge eating. I was stuffing myself with junk food, and I wasn't even hungry. Heck, I wasn't even enjoying what I was eating! But all that binge eating seems to have put back on any weight I have lost this month, because once again my clothes are telling the story. My jeans are tighter! But I have been writing about my feelings in my personal diary, and I realize what is going on to make me feel the need to binge. I am struggling, but I will come out stronger and I will beat the binge! And I will get back to losing again. I will never give up on myself!



Anyway, this month was not a total wash. I did make progress with the Shred. My endurance and strength have definitely increased. The workout was super hard, but I stuck with it and I can feel that I have built muscle. There's still a lot of flab covering those muscles but they're there! I just need to get control of my eating, and keep working out. I've lost 71 lbs since last year, and I'd like to ultimately lose 71 lbs. more.



My plan for August is to eat as healthy as possible, and to continue working out hard. I have three workouts planned for August. I will be doing Violet Zaki's Weight Loss Cardio Kick 5 to 6 days a week;

I will also be doing Richard Simmons Disco Sweat every other day. He's a little exuberant, but I think this workout looks like fun;

And on the days I don't do Disco Sweat, I'll be doing 10 Minute Solutions Rapid Results Pilates;

I think thats a pretty good mix...I sure won't get bored! Well, I never get bored with exercise. I truly do love to workout! Thats the easiest aspect of a healthy lifestyle for me, but now I need to work on the dietary part.
