Paying it forward

Today's coaching session was about including others in my workout and getting family involved. I think my coaching sessions are ahead of where I actually am in my journey. I am not at the point where I can go out and join a community sports team. In fact with my physical limitations I don't see that as ever becoming a possibility for me. I am ok with that. I don't work out with others because I have to work at my own pace with my own abilities. i have lost an inch and a half off my waist since I started doing T-TAPP exercises on a consistent basis. So, it is working for me to work out alone for now.
My 21 year old son, lives with us while going to school part time and working part time. He has been my biggest supporter all along. He has the ability to praise small accomplishments and make them seem huge. He and some friends are making plans lately to move in to their own place. The other day he said mom, you will be proud of me, he listed the choices they had agreed to before they would move in together. They included making their own foods, simple things, he wants to get a rice cooker because rice is cheap and he can add different veggies and a little meat to it. He has been working in a deli at a grocery store and now does some of the cooking for them too. He is working on getting in better shape lately, taking advantage of our weights and treadmill and plans to keep exercising. Limited alcohol, wants to focus on completing school. I have always been proud of him, but it really made me feel good that he took the time to share these goals with me. I am going to miss him but this helped so I won't need to worry about him as well.
