Well, on my first day back on Sparkpeople I lost 5 pounds. I don't give the website full credit though. I was out of town for 2 weeks and eating exclusively restaurant food the last couple days. I assume that all 5 pounds were water weight lost after a day of low sodium food. I did, however, surpass my 1 week goal of 3 pounds. I usually wouldn't try for 3 pounds in a week but I knew sodium was a factor. I just didn't know how much.
I do give the website credit for helping me stick to my resolution not to let vacation eating continue after vacation ended. So - if I stick with Sparkpeople and eat per plan, how soon can I reach my 1 month goal of just over 9 pounds? I picked 9 pounds as my goal for 3 reasons - a) about the amount I gained on vacation b) just over 2# per week loss, bumped up a smidge to account for water weight from the restaurants c) 5% of what the scale said on the morning after vacation. This could either go slow as I hit the wall and have a hard time with the non water weight or fast as I have a head start due to the water weight.
