THESE THREE THINGS

As we study the Bible, we begin to see things others have experienced that will also help us in life. These three things seem to be consistently required for God’s people: endure persecution, obey His commands and maintain faith in Him. When we focus on doing these three things we will be following His will. When we focus on these three things, we will find the answers He wants us to find. When we focus on these three things, God will reveal to us His plan for us knowing we have what we need from Him to follow through.

Revelation 14:12 “This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently, obeying his commands and maintaining their faith in Jesus.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, You have given us instruction in Your word. You have told us what we need to do and how we need to do it. We know that we can do all things when we put You first in our lives. We want to endure, obey and be faithful to You today and everyday. We know some days will be tougher than others but if we continue to do these three things, You will make great things happen and we can give You all the glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we are able to endure trials and be patient through the tough times, God will make us stronger for the next time.

When we know God’s commands and obey Him, He will lead us to a place that only a few are able to go.

Obeying God brings protection in times of testing. We should prepare ourselves for our next test by living in obedience in God today.

Revelation 3:10 “Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world.” (NLT)

Our strong faith in God will get us through any suffering in this world. And we can learn obedience from our suffering.

Hebrews 5:8 “Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered.”

So much of our Christian walk comes down to obedience to God's word and His prompting in our life.
