Hard workout - GOOD day

Monday, July 29, 2013

My son Ed was still not feeling well today so I took him to the doctor and he either has a UTI or a bladder infection or something else that MIGHT show up in the lab work. They started him on an antibiotic, applauded our use of cranberry supplements and said they were probably to only reason he felt well enough to drive into the office instead of needing an ambulance - guess Moms sometimes know SOMETHING.

I went to the pool and spent 7 hours exercising pretty hard. Thursday is the day I change my ticker and ALSO the day for my 3 month fitness assessment. I am really trying hard to get a good assessment. Also, school stuff starts next week and then for me school starts on the 14th. I have classes I must attend on the 7th, 9th, and then every day from the 14th on. So, I am feeling like summer is nearly over for me and my goal for greatly improved fitness will have to be accomplished before school starts back up. I am feeling like time is running out.

I intend to keep up doing my best even after school starts back up but will NOT be able to do nearly as many hours of hard work as I am now.

I am going to say good night. I am doing a one week challenge that is to NOT COMPLAIN (whine, gripe, or &itch) for an entire week. It has not been easy today, but since Ed went to bed sick, it got a lot easier.

Have a good night everyone.

I can't believe summer is over. There is still so much I want to accomplish that once I get back into the classroom just won't happen! Good luck on your 3 month assessment. Keep doing 7 hour workouts (that's crazy) and you will ace it!

Wish I had access to a pool. Well, must be I don't want it bad enough, otherwise I would have found a way to make it happen.
Happy School year... Hope son is feeling tip-top soon.

Glad your son went to the Doc. Those infections can get real nasty. Oh, I hate to think about summer almost over. Looking forward reading how your assessment goes.

Hugs, Gail

The teens I babysit for start school on August 12. That's a private school. Public schools start on the 15th.

When I home schooled DD, we didn't start til after Labor Day. I think August is still Summer! Around here, it's usually the hottest month...and the month we get our hurricanes.

Praying for Ed...and you! emoticon

Nancy, School sure starts early there as most schools here don't start until the end of August or early September, usually after Labor Day. Isn't this Summer just flying by?? Enjoy every day you have left of summer vacation time. You've done a fantastic job in getting in lots of fitness with your many hours of swimming. I know you probably hate seeing the new school year start up so soon. . .Time to figure out how you can then get the most out of the time you have after school to swim. Wishing you and Ed a peaceful happy sleep to "Dreamland" where everyone is healthy, happy and Slim. . . emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
