I Missed Fitbit!

Monday, July 29, 2013

I stupidly left my charging cable in a hotel room a few weeks ago and with life craziness I didn't get a new one ordered immediately. Was without fitbit and really missed it. Hadn't realized how much a part of my life it had become. So glad to have my little buddy back to cheer me on! Maybe I rely on this a little too much... emoticon

When I have been without mine it felt like I wasn't getting credit for my activity. I had to remind myself that my body was getting the credit even though I could not see it on my dashboard.

Fitbit shows me how sedentary I am and motivates me to finish the days goal.

LOL! My son quipped to me the other day: "a luxury, once experienced, becomes a necessity". I know that's one of those sayings... probably a famous quote, but your blog made me think of it... yes, we do love our technology!

I use a pedometer and broke it while in the states. I finally got one today. I did not realize how much I checked for it until it was gone. It is not a Fitbit but I did not feel dressed when it was gone.

Good grief what have we done?

Yes, I would not care to think of not having my FitBit. I wear it all the time, except in the shower.

I LOVE that it tells me how many calories I burned while I am sleeping!

[ Me at 10:00 am. "Gosh, look at all those calories burned! Might as well go back to bed for another couple of hours!']

Plus I am entirely dependent of the Fitbit's calories burned figure for my successful weight loss: I use that plus carefully entering everything I eat in the food tracker to get my Daily Calories Burned Report. I have averaged a 500 a day calorie deficit over the past month or so. This equals very successful weight loss!

Couldn't do it without the FitBit, and would go back to gnoshing on just about everything indiscriminately!

I have had a FitBit for three years now, and I am the same way. I am kind of addicted to it now. My grandsons even say, "how many steps did we walk with you ,Grandma?" They know I where one, and so does one of their mothers. The other mother is naturally a size 0-2.

Strange how something so small can make such a mental difference. Glad you are back in sync with your best buddy. HUGS!

I heard that Target has the zip one. I wonder if it's as good. It's less expensive.

I purchased a halo and keep my fb charging cable with it so that if I am out I can plug it the minute the low battery warning comes up and I am away from my computer

I know, just a newcomer, but I nearly panicked today, when it started flashing battery low, so tried not to walk emoticon

I totally agree. A couple times I've started walking to work in the morning, realized I'd forgotten to clip it on, so turned around and went home to get it!
