I’ve Been a Bad, Bad Girl

Monday, July 29, 2013

I’m still struggling with inconsistency with my workouts. I’m proud of myself that my eating habits haven’t gone bad. As I mentioned in my last blog, having healthy foods in my home has really saved me! I resist bringing home junk food so that I do not have to fight with myself about eating bad stuff. When I want ice cream, I grab a fruit popsicle out of the freezer. After eating one, I’m completely satisfied. Yesterday I filled a bowl with sweet cherries and snacked on them while watching a movie. On Saturday I filled a bowl with baby carrots to mindlessly snack on while watching TV. When I want to go really wild, I’ve got my Padrinos No Salt Tortilla Chips which I put into a bowl and crunch on with some tasty salsa.

Of course I do allow myself to indulge in the not-so-healthy-for-me foods occasionally and in proper portions so I can have a little fun and also try to prevent myself from getting in those rebellious moods that end up ruining my good progress.

So, I guess I haven’t been a really bad girl afterall. However, I do really need to get back to working out. Not moving my body is also bad for my health so I need to get on it!

I hope you all had a great weekend and that this will be a successful week for all of us!

Good job with your portioning snacks!
    Cherries sound great too!
Try doing a short 10 min video tomorrow, I love them and I usually do more than one after the first!
Put your workout clothes on when you get up, you'll feel kinda silly sitting around in them!
