I read a comment somewhere on SP to take lots of pictures through the weight loss process. I hate pictures of me, it just depresses me so I run from a camera at the very first sight. It affects my self confidence all the more and it But, I might give it a try if I can figure out how to 'secretly' take some of myself. IDK, do you take pictures along your journey? Does it help motivate you, encourage you to look back from where you have come? IDK, I am struggling with this idea though curious also. emoticon

Face that fear sister!!! Anyone that has ever been overweight can surely relate to it but absolutely positively it helps EVEN if you dont see it right away. Let me tell you, when I was at my ww lowest a few months ago, I had my dd take pics and I honestly could not tell that I looked an ounce thinner but then guess what??? I gained 20+ of it back and sure as can be I look at those pics now and say OOOOOOHHHH YA, I can see it!!! So it may not seem beneficial at the time and it may even take us a few month to really start seeing it but bite the bullet and do it. It is kinda like a commitment you are making to yourself. You want different results? You gotta do different to get them! It cant hurt (well, our ego might be a little hurt!) but I def say GO FOR IT!!! I will if you will!!! Holding each other accountable!! We are on this together!!! I am your biggest (literally lol) cheerleader!!!! GO GO GO!!!

I'm with you on that, I am always the picture taker. I hate my pictures but am sad that I don't see myself from year to year. Now I am trying to get in a few pictures for the purpose of looking back at my journey.

Keep up the good work and much success on your journey!

Even as a child posing for pictures made me uncomfortable. Photos would not be a motivating factor for me and so I have not taken photos specifically for that along my journey because the ones on my driver's license and my passport photos plus assorted snaps that I am more than serve the purpose.

My motivating factor has been to become the healthiest I can be and not about a number on a scale.

I wish you much success on your journey to becoming the healthiest you can be!

I can completely relate with this blog. I almost have a fear of taking pictures. I hate it so much because I know I won't like what I see and it will send me down a path of depression and self-hate.

With that said, it is helpful for me to have a picture I can see of my current weight. It does keep me motivated. I don't know if I can personally take a picture at different intervals during my progress, but I may be able to do a couple/few when I start feeling more confident.

So right now I just have one on my page and it's one that I am okay with looking at and also motivates me. But I completely understand your anxiety about this.

Hang in there! Hope you have a great week :)
