I'm Losing It - Day 2 (For Real!)

Monday, July 29, 2013

Another rainy Monday! emoticon emoticon Of course, it's been raining almost non-stop since Saturday night! My poor dog...actually, my sister's poor dog! Since my Mom and my sister and her kids are on vacation in Philadelphia, I'm on dog sitting duty. The dogs have to stay outside all day until I get home in the evening. If MY dog didn't hate the neighbors so much, they would let him (and Daisy) in the house when it poured. But noooo, Max has to be a nerd and be overly protective of the yard, even though the neighbors are the nicest people and have lived next door to us for over 30 years! So, both dogs will probably be soaked by the time I get back from Sweet Adelines late tonight.

Started my Advocare 10-Day Cleanse yesterday. Wasn't too bad yesterday, but it's a bit rough going today! I went with the Peaches & Cream flavor of Fiber Drink because it's easier on the digestive system than the Citrus flavor is.

My body has gotten used to bad stuff for breakfast because I'm usually rushing out of the house so I tell my Mom I'll just grab something later. Later usually means donuts and Diet Mountain Dew. Well, I passed up the donuts this morning in favor of hard-boiled eggs, fruit and Fiber Drink. My poor body is in "non-sugar shock"! I know I'll feel better eventually...this too shall pass! emoticon

The real trick will be trying to figure out what to eat when I don't prepare enough in advance at home to bring my own today! Monday's are always tough because I don't got straight home after work. Dinner tends to be fast food much of the time. As soon as it quits pouring, I'm going to go in search of either a salad or grilled chicken something. The 10-Day Cleanse forbids fried food (and I don't need it anyway) so that doesn't leave a ton of options, although BK does "flame-broil" their burgers...

In FitBit news...

Weekend was a mix. I finally used the sleep mode on Saturday night and ended up sleeping 7 hours, 22 minutes. Haven't checked to see how restful that was, I'm guessing not very, if it was like my usual sleep habits. Saturday, I ended up with over 17,000 steps! Between Zumba class, walking several miles, and mowing my front lawn (before it rained), it was racking up the steps! Yesterday I only had a little over 2,600. Most of day spent watching NASCAR and other indoor activities due to rain.

Also had 2 family birthday parties to go to this weekend. Did pretty good at both...

Have a Marvelous Monday, all!

When I returned home, you guessed it, I had one wet dog! Daisy stayed pretty dry, but she's small enough to fit under the deck. Max had a dog house at one point, but never used it. He's always been "shy aggressive" as the vet calls him. Not sure why, as we've had him since he was a puppy. She said it just happens sometimes. He got the hairdryer treatment and is pretty much dry now.

You are doing great and making progress! emoticon

Maybe for the dogs, I a dog house would help. I don't know how big or small they are but it could help them stay dry. Maybe they don't behave to well because something spooks them or someone's actions spook them. It's just a possibility.

    Love the Acronym. F.R.O.G.

I will have to remember that! :)

Sorry about the dogs and the rain. Too bad they don't behave better so someone could let them in . Oh well. Good Luck with your cleanse, etc.
