Tired; maybe over did it this weekend

Monday, July 29, 2013

I'm tired today but not hurting. I ran in the practice race Saturday and ran yesterday at home trying to beat my time, which I didn't. This morning I didn't want to get up and go. It's 8:30 am and I am still in my jammies but will have to go get dressed soon for work. No run/walking this morning. I have a break in the day, which means I'm not getting paid (NO I WILL NOT STRESS: GOD HAS THIS!), so I will take my shoes and work on getting my steps for the day in. I am not going to try and run till maybe tomorrow. I don't want to be too fatigued for the Saturday race.

By the way I just re read the above and Noted "but not hurting". Gonna do a little happy dance about that when I get up!

Good idea to rest a day or two.
And a whole day before Saturday!

Yes, you should take a break from running, you don't want to overdo it. Good luck on Saturday!

It's good to mix up the intensity of effort when training. Have a nice walk during your break. Running can wait until tomorrow! Good luck with your race on Saturday!
