The greatest part about losing so much weight, is how active I've become. However, I've apparently overdone it a bit this time.
After 15 days of JM 30 Day Shred, I've lost 8 pounds! Which is awesome.
However, last night, during my weekly soccer games, I seriously strained my left quad and then got a terrible cramp in my left calf, making my entire left leg pretty worthless today.
I sat in my bathtub full of ice cubes last night, and tried wrapping my quad/calf in an ace bandage to provide support, but I'm just sore.
So I think I'm going to take a break from my seriously intense workouts and soccer, if only for a week, especially because I will be caring for JD this weekend after his spinal surgery on Friday. So if everyone could pray for him or keep him in your thoughts, that would be greatly appreciated.
I'm going to concentrate on keeping to a strict nutritional plan, since my physical activity is going to be limited. It's frustrating because I know I have left quad problems, and I stretch in an attempt to prevent them every week. And every week I still strain it. But last night it was a severe strain. JD told me to take at least a week off to rest it. And Jillian Michaels is ALOT of squatting that I just don't think I can do right now. So I'm going to put a pause on that. I'm going to try and just walk on my treadmill for an hour to get some cardio in.
