Hasn't been a fun 2 weeks

Sunday, July 28, 2013

That about sums it up. It is intense pain in the area of your kidneys, then as the stones come down the canal you feel as though knives are trying to cut up your pelvic area and pop out through your skin - but they don't. They just give your body excruciating pain till they decide to come out. For the past 2 weeks I have been trying to pass kidney stones.

Saturday July 13 we had a huge family reunion in a local park. Relatives came from Florida, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and NY. I didn't feel well that day but I couldn't put my finger on what the problem was. I went the reunion but let's just say I was not in the partying mood.

Two days later I knew what was the problem. My kidney stones were back with a vengeance. Couldn't understand why because I wasn't eating animal protein which causes my stones, so what gives? I have been basically in bed for the past 2 weeks. I had no energy, no appetite, all I did was sleep. I even felt to weak to go the computer.

No need to respond. I just wanted everyone to know where I was. I wasn't MIA by choice. I have passed so many stones in the past 3 days I am hoping they are totally out. NOT FUN!

Sorry to hear that Yvonne, most likely the stones were there from when you were eating stones in the past and now that you eating a healthier food intake I'm sure that is the reason you are now passing them out.

Wishing you that the pain will go away, I will definitely keep you in my prayers.

So sorry to hear that! I've had them before and wouldn't wish that on anyone. I hope they have all passed and you are feeling better.
My hubby has problems with stones and I know that 2 of the things that can cause them to form for him (that he has identified so far) are not drinking enough water (especially if he's been working outside during hot days) and too much caffeine, such as in sodas.
I hope you are able to discover what triggered this latest attack. Take care.

Now that they're out can they look at em under the microscope and determine what caused them this time (since you haven't been eating meat)?
Sorry you have endured such agony.
