Good afternoon. Life continues on. I have a few things going...have to lose 10 lbs in the next month...just for insurance stuff at work...which would only have been 8 if I hadn't bounced up a bit...here's to salads..lol.
Meanwhile back at the farm...Bunnie is continueing to improve. She is able to get up to her feet by herself and is eating and drinking on her own. She misses having company but she is still slow and stumbly and not able to compete with healthier sheep at the feed trough. Eventually I have faith she will return to normal.
I set out to mow the overgrown parkway this morning and after 10 minutes the mower just quit. I can get it to start but it quickly shuts down. I suppose once again it could be a flow problem and maybe if I just change the filter again it will run true...will try that on Monday and be prepared to call the mower folks to pick it up. I have asked a friend with a tractor to mow the parkway. I was able to get the mower back into the barnyard by pulling it with a tow line behind the truck so at least I don't have to worry about someone stealing it.
I am going to mow around the house with the walk behind. The flock is working on the backyard and doing a better job than I could with the mower. It had a good stand of yummy green grass and few ornamentals...just a few boxwoods and an eleagnus and vitex tree.
Also...I am so happy to have found a serious trainer who teaches and does clinics who is enthusiastic about taking Charlie and following up with teaching him to be a riding pony and find him the right home. She works with the Parrelli principles which I like. He is a very clever pony, sound and athletic at 12. He is one of those rare individuals like my Bright who has the extraordinary in the right hands and explosion in the wrong.
I went to the library last week and loaded 4 books on Mother's Kindle and I picked up the audiobook of "The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo". I am midway through the Three Muskateers...there was a funny part where Aramis determined to go back into the Church finds out from D'artangne(sp)..that his Lady Fair has not lost interest in him and he gayly abandones his determination for celebration. The Pearl by Steinbeck was very dark.
Dr. Jeffers is speaking and I think I will listen. Mom is home from Church. We had a good workout at the gym last night. She is getting stronger and I suspect that I am as well.
