long but interesting. The history of how lobbies and gov have given us misinformation about our diet and cholesterol. If you want to skip the recipe book, start around min 20 (I thought it was interesting, but if you only have so much time, start there)

Great link to the Weston Price source. They have lots of good info.
I'm not at all surprised - there's a brief commentary in the Enig/Fallon book, Nourishing Traditions, about the challenges she faced on the trans topic. It's too bad we're still in the clutches of faulty research. So long as we've got big financial interests in cahoots with our government, we're never going to get any real info. It's got to be at grass-roots level... and people are so ingrained and in fear of anything deviating from those recommendations, well. I can't see any sweeping changes on the horizon, anyhow.

Great post.

Not surprising. It costs money to hire scientists and editors so they will often skew results for who is paying them.

It just doesn't stop with food I'm afraid . I always look at studies close to see how big of study and who paid for it. Sad state our world is in. emoticon

I agree. Very sad. My Dr truly thinks if I stop my statin drug I'll have a heart attack. I'm not so sure.

Woubbie is right - follow the money trail. If we all got skinny and healthy, how would anyone get money from us. The whole health system would collapse, unless you broke a bone or something of that nature.
