I went on my first "on track" grocery run on Friday.
We picked up lots of fresh produce:
- green beans
Instead of just grabbing the cheapest bread on the shelf, I tried the enriched light white bread. I know "light" is only a small step, with it still being a white bread and containing no whole grains. But it is half the calories and carbs as a normal loaf, so it's a starting point.
To add protein to my breakfasts and snacks I picked up some lactose free cottage cheese and light Babybel cheese wheels.
A fresh start and a fresh fridge!
