Buffalo, NY area musings....

Sunday, July 28, 2013

I grew up in the country area near Buffalo , NY. People from other areas told me it was cloudy there, but I never noticed it. My husband also told me there were no hills. And he told me the roads were incredibly straight lined. Points to ponder.... emoticon

In college in my education program we visited schools for the Deaf in the New England area. emoticon Each day I'd get up and comment that it was an exceptionally sunny day. emoticon emoticon hmmm.... After the 3rd day and 3rd city, I realized that I had grown up in a cloudy environment! It was true! emoticon I never would have known if I had not been traveling from city to city. emoticon

Hmmm, our rv broke down in N. Tonawanda (sp???) a few years ago so spent a week in the area. Nice camping and beautiful cool weather in Aug that year.

I grew up in North Tonawanda, not far from Buffalo and went to college in Buffalo! Small world.

I grew up in Dunkirk, 50 miles from Buffalo. I went to nursing school in Buffalo.
I remember lots of sunny days.
There are lots of hills in Arkwright, if you are familiar with that area.

I always thought of Buffalo as being more cold and snowy rather than cloudy!

Very interesting! My city is noted as one of the sunniest in Canada, so when we have exceptionally cloudy days for a period of time, we sure do notice that! We get the sun, but we also get a lot more colder days then warm, and I prefer it warmer!
