Happy Sunday and Day 28

Everything going well here...had steak and salad for dinner last night which will help with the Iron levels! Kale salad!

Off to ladies brunch now, taking chocolate dipped strawberries, I will have to leave before dessert so that is not too bad...I will not be tempted to eat too many! LOL

    Let me start off by apologizing for not posting for several days. I am sorry:( You work really hard on these challenges for us and I appreciate it big time. (((hugs)))


s you know Mel, I had to send you a coffee that day. grumble grumble Boyfriend bought some Fiber One bars for me to stash in my desk at work and I was hungry leading me to blindly eat one. Swear that as I crumpled up the wrapper it hit me that it was filled with sugar and I proceeded to uncrumple and read the ingredients and sure enough...SUGAR! Funny thing is it tasted funky to me. Left a fake taste in my mouth. So it wasn't a total wash because I got to experience that taste and didn't like it.

I was having a bad day that day and it really bummed me out. In the end it really was just me looking for an opportunity to beat myself up. It is important for us to remember on these challenges that it isn't perfection. It is a learning experience. Heck if it was a total breeze then it wouldn't have been a real challenge. Sugar was not a huge problem for me, but the boyfriend had been buying so much of it that it was an excuse to take a stand. What this is helping with is being aware of what I am putting in my body WHEN I am doing it.

Aside from "the sugar day" I have been good. On the fitness front I have been doing good. The sciatica is still bothering me and forcing me to readjust. Had another awesome day on the running path and trails yesterday with friends. Yay!

Have fun today!!
Did yoga yesterday, will go for a walk today. Eating is on track, weight below goal. I like a little "buffer" to play with..
