I went to a friend's party and thought I was going in prepared for food I knew would be available. But turns out - according to my nutrition tracker - I was a wee bit off. And I know that I probably forgot about some morsels as well. I was stunned this morning when I recorded all my food and realized I had 1600 calories in five hours. Yes, there was wine and soda. but I think the chips and the bits of cheese are what really did me in. And the extra rice-laden sushi probably didn't help. It certainly explains the number on the scale this morning!
But I am not going to remember this as a failure. It is one more step in learning about my eating habits and how I handle myself in public situations. Next party I will arrive better prepared.
