Crazy World I Live In With Doctors That Can't Decide What Is Wrong

Well the DR in Boise really didn't give my a good report. I go in the hospital on Sept 4 for a EGD & a Colonoscopy. He also told me that I have a fatty liver in the first stage. Also he said looking at my Ultra sound & the CT that the diverticulitis looked bad. I have been having trouble getting some foods to go down my throat.

I have been having the pain for almost 4 years now & no DR has given me a straight answer. I told him that I have lost Faith in DRs as I have been complaining about this & have been told that it was just gas.

I really don't like the stuff that I will have to drink, but I guess I will just have to chug it down the two days. Then we have to drive 2.5hr to get there for the procedures.

I looked up about the fatty liver & the diverticulitis and kind of studied what it all about. My DR up here didn't think that the fatty liver was any big deal. Down in Boise they were worried about it. I am kind of worried about the liver because of what I read.

The Bland Diet is helping, as I said in my last Blog I have gone from 196 to today 184. I am just dropping 1 to 2 pounds a week so I am taking it slow.

Well that is what is going on here.

    Hoping and praying they get everything figured out and that you will get some answers so you can get on the road to recovery.

    I have seen people who live a pretty normal life with fatty liver & I have been the nurse for a couple in the hospital that were very ill. I had a doctor tell me when I was freaking out of some of liver labs being off that it was just fatty liver & that losing weight would be the best thing for me. (I'm not so sure that I have lost much weight since then,) but the lst time those labs were drawn they were in the normal range.

I hope only the best for you. The specialists in Boise may be able to give some better ideas on what to eat that may help you cope with both of these possible disorders. I will keep you in my thoughts. I would also appreciate you doing the same for me, as I see a specialist on Tuesday to address my 2nd round of kidney stones, just a little more than a year after having them the first time.

    I hope you can get some answers, I can understand your frustration.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could just get all of the doctors we see in one room, and lock them in and not let them out until they have figured out what is wrong with us and how to fix it! emoticon
