So it's my first weekly weigh in since I joined the Spark site and I've only lost 1 pound, talk about depressing... This has been my past reason for slipping back into bad habits and giving up but I'm so determined to lose this weight that I am going to give this my all and stick w/ it for a year (figure this will be plenty of time for me to see some desired results and start picking up better, healthier habits emoticon ).

I mean I was at least hoping for two pounds, but nope. Kinda making me feel like the Tortoise from the Tortoise and the Hare, in the beginning of this journey but hoping to win the race through keeping up my willpower and sticking with my goals. Just gotta emoticon !

  I agree completely Peter...would rather lose a pound every week versus gaining even half a pound (unless it's muscle of course emoticon ).

I know right, Angie...that scale has it out for me or something emoticon nah just kidding... I agree though, need to stop looking at it so much, can be very discouraging. Then again it does make me wanna push harder some days, just need to learn to be more patient... I know this will end for the better if I just stick w/ it. emoticon

I couldn't agree more ABYGAILSMOM06 (sorry didn't see your name on ur page, would love to know it though emoticon ). Every step in the right direction, no matter how small, is a victory for sure!

Thanks again for all the comments and encouragement. I know that we can all do this and will gain HUGE rewards from it.

    Girl I completely know the feeling! At least you are putting in the work. I try not to focus on the numbers because that is where I get discouraged, not seeing the results I feel I should be seeing. But if the scale doesn't move like I'd hoped after putting in the work, I like to think that I've just gained more muscle that week...keeps me from dwelling on it ;) you're doing great, keep it up!

    emoticon Keep it up. One pound gone is better than one pound gained. Most of all its results. You made changes and you got a result. It may not be as impressive as you had hoped but losing one pound a week every week is still losing 52 pounds in a year. Just keep at it and try pusher a littler farther on a walk or a extra few minutes on the treadmill. Setting goals really helps. Even if you don't add them on here a personal goal is a good way to inspire yourself. I just walked 5k for my second day in a row now. It feels fantastic. Keep your head up and don't look back. emoticon

  Thanks for the comments guys...really appreciate the support. I agree Jennifer, after thinking about a picture I seen comparing a pound of fat vs. a pound of muscle...I'd rather lose 1 lb of fat every week versus none. emoticon

    Just think of how much 1lb of fat really is. I'm sure you will have a bigger loss next week. No worries, we will all have our ups and downs, what matters is that you keep going! emoticon emoticon

    I know how very frustrating it is when you are sure you dropped a couple of pounds and you actually stayed the same or even gained a few ounces, I still try to stay the course, I am much healthier with my new lifestyle, but still need to drop a few more pounds, hopefully it will happen when I least expect it. Stay motivated
