Saw my doctor for a checkup yesterday. The scale there said 198 lbs! I was stressing out beforehand because the scale there always says I weigh more than mine, and was worried it wouldn't show up that I'm under 200 lbs but it did! yay
There was a resident that did most of my appointment, she was very nice and more accepting of me talking more about whatever than my doctor who is straight to the point haha.
Everyone (including the medical assistant who saw me first) was commenting about how much weight I have lost and how good I look. My doctor told me I am a model patient...hehe
The resident and I were chatting about what the ideal weight would be for me...I said I want to be in a healthy bmi range...and she used a little app thing to figure it out. She said 110 would be on the low range of a healthy weight, and 144 would be on the higher range. She said 140 would probably be good for me...but Idk...my goal I had in mind was 125...so once I get to 140 I'll make a decision (a ways away) but I think 130 I'd be happier with...
I talked to my doctor because my neurologist had recommended I take b2, and she said I could start that. I also asked about b-12 because of my veganism and because I don't always meet the target recommended daily value of it every day even with my supplemented foods. She said when I get my blood tested to check on my anemia she will also do a b-12 test. She seemed really worried about my iron deficient anemia because of my periods and told me to talk about it when I see my gynecologist at the end of the month.
When I was done with the appointment and she had me wait to get the blood work slips, she came back in and shook my hand (for the second time) and said "It is amazing what people can do when they are motivated" and said she is really so impressed with me, and so proud of me with my weight loss. So it made me feel really good.
I guess for now I have reached my goal of not having bad doctor appointment visits!
