I'm down 10 pounds from when I returned to sparkpeople, and down 17.5 pounds from December, 25 pounds from May. So what clicked this time?
I ate mac and cheese last night (kid was home and requested it), but measured it (1 cup) and did not have seconds, then ate healthy low calorie the rest of the meal. I wasn't feeling the exercise thing, but I still managed 25 minutes on the exercise bike.
I have tracked every bite since mid June, and pushed my exercise to more than 300 minutes per week. What clicked? Why am I able to keep this up? How can I continue with the motivation to keep this up? This is the first time I can see getting to goal. For the first time, I really am starting to feel like I am going to make it to 100 pounds lost.
What will I do then? How will I maintain? Will I have to live my life with a measuring cup and a scale? Hmmm... Or am I learning that gaining one pound might not be so bad because I know how to take off that 1 pound. If I keep up with the scale, and adjust accordingly?... Wow, first time I ever contemplated maintaining a weight.
