Making progress!!

I feel like I am finally at a point where I can really not only feel, but really see the changes in my body. It has taken since the middle of April when I really committed 100% to fitness and healthy eating. All those workouts, and all those hours spent reshaping my life and body. It is very worth it of course, but there is still that fear lurking deep inside. As I have blogged about, I ALWAYS gain back all the weight I lost and then some in the winter. I am so fearful that with fall fast approaching, I am going to lose steam like I always do. Last fall I bought my elliptical for my basement workout room, and it sat untouched :( This year I have really began to LOVE running. The treadmill I had was a dinosaur and hard to run on, so yesterday I got a new one. It is really nice, just like the fancy ones they have at the gym. It is only a few years old and the people used it less than five hours total. I really should not have spent the extra money, but I am trying to get my room ready with equipment that I want to use!! I would like to put a small TV on the wall down there yet and I should be all set.
I took my kids for two nights to a hotel with a waterpark, and we had a blast!! I climbed the endless flights of stairs to the top of the waterslides and went down, and then climbed back up again... and again... LOL. But it was nice to have the energy to keep up with them and be able to have fun. They grow up too fast and I am just soaking up all these moments with them. And I had a NSV prior to this trip. I needed a new swimming suit and I dreaded going to buy one. I tried on a halter tankini with boy shorts as the bottoms. To my surprise, I looked really cute in it!! I have NEVER had a suit other than a one piece in my whole life.
The gym is still going well. I had added running into my routine a while ago, and I am really liking it. I feel like I can go longer each time. I really focus on controlling my breathing and relaxing my shoulders and not clenching my fists. I read an article that gave pointers to be a better runner. It really makes a difference!!     Just keep in mind the feeling you had playing and keeping up with your kids at the water park. This will help you get through the winter. Also start planing some activities you and the kids can do this winter. You'll need to keep eating right and exercising to continue to keep up with them.
