I am so happy my week is over!!!
And to celebrate the start of a week off, we went to a food fest!
Oh, yeah!!! I apologize, this is not a blog about how successful I can be at consistency! This is quite the opposite ... however, you might not believe it, but I was still in range after eating my share!
The appetizer was a Dirty Fries (Fires with homemade BBQ sauce, cheese and pull pork!) or a ceasar salad.
My DH and I share half of each appetizer - gotta taste it all!
And the entrée was Humongous!
3 wings - 3 ribs - 3 meats on buns - cole slaw - beans - more fries...
I did not have it all!!! I taste it all and we took back home enough food for the rest of the week... and we are not even going to be there! That is why I am still "in range"!
My bags are packed and we are ready to leave for the airport! We are flying early in the morning to Vancouver (BC) and we will spend a few days in Victoria before hiking the West Coast trail for 4 days!
I can't wait....
My training for running and getting ready for the marathon will be altered for the next 2 weeks, but this is an occasion of a life time! I will go for a few short runs before and after the trail but no long runs until 7 August... I know that running and hiking is very different but I am still going to move it a lot - average of 20k/day with a 40+lbs on my back. I am going to built some strength!!!
Time off from the kids...
(Here is my Maggie - proud of her creation, she made the hat and the birdie with a little sewing machine that we got for her at a yard sale for 2$!!! ) And I am sure she will have a good time without her mommy... or she will just miss me and be very happy to be back!
More importantly, it is time off from work! No computer and blackberry! (no Spark but I can manage, can I???)
