Oh what a week.
Those who follow my rants know that I was trying to "hurry up" my calorie burn 2 Monday's ago and ended up re-jarring my back....OUCH....so ended up "just walking" and getting my burn in that way the rest of the week...then Freaking Aunt Flo (period) arrived after only being gone for 7 days...WTH? And my physio is out of the country until the 3rd of August! I'm taking codeine every 4 hours, plus my daily Celebrex and even a double dose one day that I was in tears due to pain...it was the perfect storm of crap...but I kept walking...:)
I don't say this to whine...I say this because I had to tell my story before the good part :)
This journey of not only changing my habits and losing 65 pounds but teaching others how to do it, has really helped when I'm in difficult "perfect storm" situations. I have learned that we will chalk this week up to a "listen to your body...it's one bad week in a lifetime of great weeks!" Eat when you take your meds...sleep...rest...stop pushing yourself for a burn or you'll be "burn-ed out" and just breathe.
I have taken my Bodybugg off until Monday, I have allowed myself to simply go home after work instead of staying for a workout...and even a walk. I have rested. I have had some chocolate :) I have slept. IT FEELS GREAT! I'm getting better.
I may not be pooping regularly, and may be bloated due to Flo and codeine....but I KNOW it's temporary...and I KNOW I am almost perfect 90% of the time with calories in vs calories out...so...1 week isn't a big deal. I KNOW that I don't get trapped in the cycle of 1 bad week = 1 bad month etc...ANYMORE!!!! That is also a great feeling! CONTROL! WHOO HOO!!!
My clothes are looser, and yesterday, my man's band mate looked at me and said you look great! Have you lost weight!? Little did he know that I was a "perfect storm" between my boobs and legs! :)
DO THE RIGHT THINGS MORE OFTEN AND EVEN THE PERFECT STORMS WON'T CAUSE YOU TO SINK! :)
