Achilles tendon felt just fine this morning (as it has since my last short run on Tuesday), so decided to not only run, but run a little longer. Here are the details:
- Total time: 40 minutes 12 second
- Distance: 3 miles
- Location: YMCA treadmill
- Specifics: walked at 3.5 mph for first 5 minutes, then switched to run/walk at 5mph. For the first mile, run/walk ratio was 2/1, 2nd mile 3/1, last mile 4/1, but did not change the run speed so as not to stress out the tendon.
I am not feeling any pain in the Achilles tendon as I type, a VERY good sign. May ice it later on this evening.
Needless to say, I AM THRILLED!!
