Ready for the Weekend
Friday, July 26, 2013
It is finally Friday. End of the work week for some; for others, it is not. For me, it is end of the work week. I actually have off at least one day this weekend as I also work as a paid EMT on the weekends.
I'm dog sitting this weekend. 5 large dogs in 1 house. I'm nuts for doing it but it is not my first time. I'm trying to figure out what I am going to eat while I'm there since it is my home and my food. Knowing the people I'm dog sitting for, there is plenty of food there for me to eat. I just have to figure out what.
Tomorrow, my church is starting a new missions outreach program. It is called Beth's Lunchbox. We will prepare a sandwich, cup of hot soup, fruit and drink and place them in a take out container/bag for people who need a good meal to pick up. We are setting up a table in front of our church for people to stop by. It is called Beth's Lunchbox in memory of one of our members who passed away unexpectedly in May. She was part of our mission team and did so much for the church. I'm looking forward to this outreach program and making sure people receive a good meal. It is only once a month to start but it is a start.
The rest of the weekend is busy as usual. I'll slow things down next week when I'm off work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
My plan is to stay on track this weekend, exercise and enjoy making a difference in someone's life.
I found this quote on pinterest this morning:
"On particularly rough days when I'm sure I can't possibly endure; I like to remind myself that my track record for getting thorough bad days so far is 100% and that's pretty good."
Have a great weekend!
