Ugh! I just had one of those nights where I was in a snacking mood. I ate first, calculated after and guess what? With very little effort, I ate 1000 calories over my daily high calorie limit. I didn't think I was eating that much. (Didn't think being the two telling words!)

What Have I learned from this? Track what I eat before I eat it, especially when I have the munchies. Better yet, if I am not really hungry, drink a glass of water and find something else to do.

Oh well! Today is a new day to make better choices.

Don't you hate how easy it is to eat over your calories??? Me too!!! Great job being accountable! Tomorrow will be better!

Your blog is very positive. You learned something powerful that you can use from now on instead of crushing yourself with unkind words. GOOD FOR YOU! emoticon I made the same mistake before and, like you, I was surprised to learn how many calories the food/snack really had! emoticon Have a great weekend.

Distracting yourself is a GREAT strategy. Most of the time the urge leaves in 20 minutes.

That eating first, calculating later lesson is a hard one to learn!
