Wednesday I had an appointment with my Oncologist to get the results of my CT scan. I don't have any return of the cancer I had 7 years ago. He gave me a copy of the report along with the lab results, so I can see where there are some problems, but not serious at this time. I have a problem drinking water, though, and asked him about that since I am getting stomach aches when I drink it. He said to just sip it throughout the day because the scar tissue is causing a problem. He also said to eat small meals every 2 hours and that could control my IBS some, too, possibly. So I have tried to do that today. That is hard for me because I usually only eat when I am hungry and that can be anywhere from 2 to 4 times a day. But that every 2 hours thing I ended up with a few crackers, a slice of bread with peanut butter, some leftover Chinese, etc. and I was hungry all the time. That doesn't make sense to me.

The every 2 hour eating apparently did have some affect on me (and my dog, for some reason). Cassie got very energetic this afternoon and was running all over the house. I took her outside and let her run some, then took her for a short walk. Usually I cannot walk very fast, but this was a fast walk for me and I managed that speed all the way around the block (it is 5 streets rather than 4). That was all after trying to find something in my mess of a house, so I had been cleaning house most of the day. If I can get the hunger under control (and I do plan to change what I am eating, just didn't have anything else) this every 2 hours eating might just be something that helps with my energy level.

We took my Aloe Vera plant outside one time before and it almost died. I do have it outside now and it is doing well. I don't know where there will be room to bring it in for the winter, though. It is getting really big.

That's wonderful news from your Oncologist! So glad to hear that the small meals helped with your other problem too. You should try a protein snack like cottage cheese and crackers or a little canned fruit maybe. I find those fill me up a lot more.

Your garden looks wonderful! Wish I could do one here but it seems like nothing likes AZ heat except my Palo Verde tree and the two Aloe Vera plants I have. None of them seem to need water - they live on the little bits of rain we get here emoticon
