WOW. It has been a lot of years since I have been to a fair. BB and I decided to make a day of it. And it was amazing. It was so much fun just walking around looking over the rides and watching the people that were on the rides screaming, or laughing or just holding on scared to death. I remember when I was younger and went to the fairs, we loved the rides. As the years have gone by I don't ride any more, I get more enjoyment out of watching the reaction of others on the rides, and find myself wondering "Did I look like that when I was on the rides" I am sure I did..........
But oh what fun I had back then and what fun they were having today. It was an amazing day, after the day I had yesterday it was a much needed stress buster.
Now for the big news, going to the fair was great. But all those booth's with all that good yummy looking stuff was hard to take. There was, cotton candy, fudge, funnel cakes, blooming onions, ribs, pork chops, pork tenderloin, corn dogs just to name a few. But I'm proud to say that I made a bad choice but I also made a fair choice. For lunch we shared a
Nacho and Cheese, instead of getting one each we shared one platter, and then for dinner we ate in the cafeteria and I had....... Wait for it......................Grille
d chicken breast, corn and green beans and lemonade............... All that other food out on the midway but I made a choice. So I may have ate the nacho & cheese, and a small piece of fudge but believe me I could have made other unwise choices for dinner also but I decided to make a healthier choice......
Today was a good day and one that reminds me again that I CAN DO THIS. emoticon

Just for today I will give thanks for my many blessings.
Just for today I will not worry.
Just for today I will not be angry.
Just for today I will do my work honestly.
Just for today I will be kind to my neighbor and
every living thing.

Sounds Like you had a great day. So you shared a nacho's but you walked all over that fair and you made deliberate choices about what you ate and what you did not. No blind snacking for you. emoticon

Good girl! You're doing it, you're changing little by little and it's working! That's what I'm trying to do too, just little by little. emoticon emoticon emoticon And oh what fun the fair is. I remember too liking rides so much and couldn't wait to get on so many! Now, no not me anymore either. I'd rather walk and walk and watch. We haven't been to one in several years now and your blog makes me want to go now because they are so fun! emoticon Wheeee!
