My boyfriend and I went on a cruise to Nassau and Half Moon Cay in late June to July 1st this year. I kept saying I was going to blog about it and upload the pictures and I never did it. Well, here it is!
We left from Port Canaveral in Florida. While leaving port we saw all kinds of wild life - the obligatory seagulls, some sea turtles swimming around, dolphins, and LOTS of stingrays.

You can't cruise w/o fun, fruity drinks!

Our first port of call was Nassau. In Nassau we just explored parts of the island. We swam at a locals beach called Junkanoo Beach, went to Da Fish Fry, Andy ate lots of conch, walked to a rum distillery, and spent some time at Senor Frogs.
Our next port of call was Half Moon Cay (pronounced Key), also in the Bahamas. It's a private island owned by 3 cruise companies. There's literally nothing there but beach...I loved it! It was the most perfect beach I've ever been to. There's white sands, crystal clear waters, gorgeous fish that come when you put a crumb of bread in the water, and nothing else. There wasn't even anything to do there except parasail, snorkel, horseback ride on the beach, jet ski, or swim. None of the excursions were offered on our side of the tiny 55-acre island either - it was extremely serene. Andy entered the "hairy chest contest" for fun...that was hilarious! Aside from that, we rented a clam shell umbrella and just relaxed all day long.
The rest of our trip was spent seeing shows, enjoying a day at see, relaxing on the Lido Deck, and just enjoying each other's company. We had a great time!
